“One thing I love about Fort Wayne is that everyone knows everyone. It’s easy to find connections and get help with anything you could need. People here love to help each other.” – Devanne Hamman, Marketing & Graphic Design Intern
Devanne Hamman, Marketing and Graphic Design Intern, has been with the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne since January 2020. Devanne is responsible for designing layouts, graphics, and print materials, as well as assisting with website maintenance.
Devanne will graduate in May of 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from the University of Saint Francis (USF). She chose graphic design because she loves art but is also interested in digital technology. Graphic design allows her to use her creative side and tech skills for a wide variety of things like designing clothes, building websites, and creating print media. Devanne is in the local chapter of American Advertising Federation (AAF) at USF. In AAF, she is able to share design knowledge with fellow students while also getting advice on how to get jobs in related fields.
Devanne is from Fort Wayne and lived here most of her life. She plays the piano and likes to study languages and culture. She wants to become fluent in another language so that she can spend time living in another country. She loves seeing different perspectives and lifestyles and learning more about the world. One day she hopes to do design work for a company involved with video games because it’s a diverse and unique field of media that connects people internationally.
