“I love working with the students and families to help them find available scholarships. There is nothing more rewarding than helping someone reach their goal of being able to attend college.” – Krista Arnold, Scholarship Manager
Krista Arnold, Scholarship Manager, has been with the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne since February 2013. Krista is responsible for working with local schools and area high school students to educate them on available scholarships. She also makes sure that donor’s wishes are always upheld when a scholarship recipient is chosen.
Krista attended Manchester College (now Manchester University), and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Soon after college Krista went to work as a customer service representative at Central Supply and then Essex Telecommunications. Krista spent a few years working as an inside sales representative for Do it Best Corp before moving down to Indianapolis and she worked as an administrative assistance before deciding to stay at home with her children in 2004. After 9 years of staying home with her children, Krista wanted to return to the workforce to a job she loved. That’s when she heard about the scholarship manager position at the Community Foundation being open. Krista had experience being a scholarship founder at a Community Foundation because her and her family created a scholarship in memorial of her father at Whitley County Community Foundation.
Krista has been married to her husband, Brendan, for 18 years and they have two children, Noah and Lillian. Krista loves to travel and watch movies with her family. The house that Krista grew up in was built by her dad for Krista’s mother and sisters. Krista loves to volunteer at her church in the Kids Zone on Sunday Mornings.
