Madison Werling

“I love that Fort Wayne is a city, but it still feels like a supportive and connective community. I am excited to meet new people, learn about local organizations, and contribute to the Fort Wayne community through my internship with Children’s Health Collaborative (CHC).” – Madison Werling, Children’s Health Collaborative Intern

Madison Werling, Children’s Health Collaborative Intern, joined the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne team in June of 2022. She is responsible for assisting the Children’s Health Collaborative Director with advancing CHC initiatives in Allen County.

Madison is currently attending the University of Saint Francis (USF) and is majoring in Biology, Pre-Med. She is a Commuter Representative for the Student Government Association, a leader of the Pre-Professional Healthcare Honors Society, and a Campus Ministry Peer Minister at the USF. In addition to being an active student, Madison also volunteers at the medical clinic at Matthew 25 in the summers. After graduation, she hopes to attend the Indiana University School of Medicine to become a medical physician so she can provide compassionate and competent care to the communities she serves.

Madison is from New Haven and loves living in a rural area. In her free time, you can find Madison playing soccer, hiking, or reading. She loves to spend time with her friends and family and going to the lake in the summer.
