Meg Saxman, Vice President of Marketing and Communications, joined the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne in July of 2018. Meg works on maintaining the website, social media, developing and creating marketing materials, and the communications of the Community Foundation as a whole.
Meg furthered her education at Trine University and graduated in May of 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing. Throughout her time at Trine University, Meg was a marketing and development Intern for the Steuben County Community Foundation and a Greater Fort Wayne Fellow. At Steuben County Community Foundation, she did a little bit of everything, from working on the website, creating social media posts, to helping create online grant applications. It was her time as an intern for the Steuben County Community Foundation that made her realize her passion for philanthropy and nonprofit work. As a Greater Fort Wayne Fellow, she did marketing research and worked on a new product launch at Tuthill Transfer Systems where she learned a lot about product launches and development. She even got to help write the business case for the new product launch she worked on! Meg currently serves as Secretary on the board of directors for YLNI and volunteers on a few different committees.
Meg is originally from Michigan but currently lives in Fort Wayne with her husband Collin, and their two cats. Meg’s favorite season is the winter and she loves to play out in the snow. You can usually find Meg spending a lot of time with her family or making a new recipe she found on TikTok. She also loves to read a good book while drinking coffee and snuggling with her cats.
