As a part of our year-end grantmaking, the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne awarded a $100,000 grant to the Boys and Girls Club of Fort Wayne for their capital campaign. This grant brings the Community Foundation’s total contributions to the Boys and Girls Club to more than $1.6 million during the last 28 years!
“We’re thrilled to support the Boys and Girls Club expansion efforts,” said Brad Little, President and CEO of the Community Foundation. “The Club impacts about 3,000 youth annually and we’re proud to help their ongoing efforts to serve even more of the community’s youth.”
“The Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne works every day to help address the most pressing issues facing our community, including access to food, shelter, and physical and mental health services, as well as providing as many opportunities for youth and adult education and arts and culture activities. Community foundations impact lives, solve problems, and improve futures,” said Little.
For the year-end grantmaking, the Community Foundation seeks projects that are transformational for clients and the community, that support a board segment of the community, organizations that are leaders in their respective service areas; and, those that have been previously vetted by the Foundation for annual support.
