Heather Heal joined the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne in June 2025 as Senior Accountant. She manages payroll and benefits processes, ensures compliance with government regulations, and oversees grant reporting.

Heather holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Accountancy from Ball State University and brings more than 15 years of experience to the team. Her past roles include senior accountant at Haines, Isenbarger & Skiba, and chief financial officer for the Journal Gazette Company and Journal Gazette Foundation.

She has a strong record of community service, including volunteering on the Finance Committee and serving as Board Treasurer for Healthier Moms and Babies. She also previously served on the Community Foundation’s Audit Committee and Local Impact Investment Committee. In addition, Heather has volunteered as PTO Treasurer at North Side Elementary School, as a Big Sister, and as a Junior Achievement classroom instructor.

Heather lives in Wolcottville, Indiana, on Witmer Lake—the same lake where she grew up—with her husband Brandon, their three children, and a rapidly growing golden doodle puppy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time on the water, shopping, and cheering on her kids in their sports, dance, and cheerleading activities.
