Here at the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne, we are very proud to be able to give grants to local nonprofit organizations from our Community Impact Fund.
This fund is comprised of contributions – some large, and some small – from many different donors who want to know their charitable giving will make the maximum impact it can in our community. We want to share with you some of the impact we make through grants dollars distributed from the Community Impact Fund, like the support grant we made to the Fort Wayne Museum of Art in 2017.
The Fort Wayne Museum of Art strives to collect, preserve, and present American and related art to engage and educate broad and diverse audiences throughout the region to add value to the community’s lives. With their grant from the Community Foundation, the museum is now able to reach new and diverse audiences in the Fort Wayne area. We are enthusiastic about the changes in programming happening at the Fort Wayne Museum of art – making art accessible to people from all walks of life is a great advancement for our community!
One of our goals here at the foundation, is to inspire local non-profits to serve our community. With the Community Impact Grant from the Community Foundation, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art was inspired to embrace collaborations with more local partners like Blue Jacket and local schools.
Thanks to our generous donors and local philanthropists, the Community Foundation helped the Museum of Art create meaningful opportunities for clients of other organizations to experience art in our community! And we think that is so cool!!
