May 28, 2020 – Fort Wayne, IN – The Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne #GivingTuesdayNow campaign on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 raised over $715,000 for over 100 nonprofits in the community with 21 organizations fully funded. Over 5,000 gifts were made to the Community Foundation #GivingTuesdayNow Campaign to help nonprofits with COVID-19 related issues and the effect it has had on their organization. Over 100 nonprofit requests were displayed on CFGFW’s donate page from 7 AM – 7 PM totaling $1.7 million in requests.

For nearly 100 years, the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne has been a public charitable foundation serving Allen County since 1922. The Community Foundation had assets of approximately $169 million at December 31, 2019 and awarded more than $6 million in charitable grants and scholarships in that year. The Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne does three things: help people make their charitable giving more impactful, connect funding to nonprofits through effective grantmaking, and provide leadership to address community needs to improve quality of life.
