News: Community Foundation Welcomes New Team Members and Celebrates Team Member Promotions

Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne Welcomes New Team Members and Celebrates Team Member Promotions

February 10, 2020– Fort Wayne, IN – The Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne has added two new staff members and a new intern as well as promoted three employees at the start of 2020.

“This past year has been one of exciting change and positive transition including welcoming several new faces to the Community Foundation,” said Brad Little, CFGFW President & CEO. “This change has given us the opportunity to better refine the organizational chart especially as we work to enhance our menu of philanthropic services for all of our donors, nonprofits and community partners.”

The new staff include:

Darrion 2 - final

Darrion White, Donor Engagement Associate, will oversee donor engagement with all Scholarship Funds, Designated Funds and donors to the Community Foundation. Also in his role with scholarships, Darrion will work with the schools to connect students to the right resources and help to establish a Youth Philanthropy Pod for the Community Foundation to help youth become more involved in philanthropy. Darrion comes to CFGFW from BAE systems where he was an Operations Lead.

Amanda Pant, First Impression Specialist and Philanthropic Services Assistant, will be the friendly face who greets you when you visit, and the voice when you call our office. If you have any questions or concerns, Amanda will be happy to help you. Amanda will also be part of the Philanthropic Services department as an Administrative Assistant, helping provide all of the back office support to our fund holders and donors. Amanda comes to CFGFW from Indiana Physical Therapy where she was the Clinic Front Desk Lead.

Devanne Hamman is the new Marketing and Graphic Design Intern. She currently attends the University of Saint Francis and will be graduating in May with her Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. Devanne will be responsible for designing layouts, graphics, and print materials, as well as assisting with website maintenance.

The team member promotions include:

  • Christine Meek, Vice President of Nonprofit Excellence, was previously the Vice President of Grantmaking. Christine has been with CFGFW since 2003 and started as a program assistant.
  • Lisa Pickerman, Grants and Scholarships Associate, was previously the Grants and Administrative Assistant. She started with CFGFW in 2017 as the Administrative Coordinator.
  • Meg Saxman, Vice President of Marketing and Communications, was previously the Manager of Communications. Meg has been with CFGFW since July 2018 when she started as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
